Intra-RIR

Intra-RIR refers to the transfer of resources, such as IPv4 address blocks, within the service region of a single Regional Internet Registry (RIR). RIRs are organizations responsible for the allocation and registration of IP address space and Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs) within specific regions. There are five RIRs, each responsible for a different region of the world: AfriNIC (African region), APNIC (Asia-Pacific region), ARIN (North American region), LACNIC (Latin American and Caribbean region), and RIPE (European region). The Intra-RIR transfer policy allows the transfer of IPv4 address blocks within the service region of a specific RIR, subject to the policies and procedures defined by that RIR.
